Wanted: a Messiah!
Oak Class learned what incarnation means and explored the prophecies, which set out the details of what the Jewish people were expecting of their saviour. The children then used the clues to create their own wanted posters for the Messiah! We concluded the lesson by following our windows,…

Oak Class enjoyed a visit from South Staffs Water, who led a water workshop. The children identified parts of a river and participated in a river basin project! We hope that the children take their learning away with them and consider ways we can reduce our water wastage and protect our…
Remembrance
Oak Class wrote some beautiful prayers for Remembrance Day, which are hung on our prayer tree in the reflection area. Some children even shared their prayers with members of our village community in Reverend Nicky’s church service on Tuesday!
Character Inference
Oak Class had great fun being detectives this lesson! After learning more about who they may encounter in the Land of Oz, the children had to work out which emotion belonged to which character based on the clues in the text!
Water workshop
Today we had a visit form Mrs Cole from South Staffs Water. She told us the story of Little Drop and we found out all about the water cycle. Then we talked about ways water can be wasted and the things we can do at home to save water.
Remembrance Day
This Remembrance Day we have talked about why people wear poppies and given thanks to those who have helped keep us safe.
Odd Sock Day in Willow!
We are proud to be different! Well done Willow for celebrating our differences by supporting Odd Sock Day.
Willow’s Independent Writing and Performing!
Well done to Willow for your beautiful published writing so far! This week, we practiced our oracy skills when performing our very own poem.
Odd Socks Day
We had great fun dancing to Andy and the Odd Socks but their song had a serious message - everyone has the power to do something about bullying and help others!
Thanks to everyone who wore odd socks to raise awareness about Anti-bullying week.
Bonfire art
Remember, remember the 5th of November!
We talked about bonfire and fireworks safety and created our own bonfire pictures using coloured paper, paint and glitter!
Making predictions!
Oak Class began the half term by making predictions about their new book! The children were given images of mystery items from the text and had to consider who the items might be used by and what for. The classroom was fizzing with excitement for our new unit!
Make your mark
Our art this term is all about line and pattern. We explored different types of line and repeated our favourite experiments to create a whole class piece of work.
