Christmas lunch
Our Christmas lunch was delicious today! We enjoyed the crackers, ice-cream and singing The Twelve Days of Christmas together!
The Nativity
An amazing morning in Church today bringing the nativity story to life!
Everyone looked fantastic in their costumes and the singing was beautiful. Thanks to Oak and Willow for helping us with our performance!
Panto fun!
We had a great time at St Andrew’s Church watching Rick Whittington! Lots of laughs and audience participation!
Dear Santa
We used the story of “Dear Santa” to create our own pages for a class book.
Christmas Post Office
Our enhancements this week have a festive twist! The Christmas Post Office is now open and the children are busy in the office, working on the counter and pretending to be customers with their cards and parcels!
Is it absorbent?
We have been investigating materials in our science lessons. This week, we were given a challenge to help Wise Wizard find a material to clean up some magic potion! We used the pipettes for the first time to make sure we used the same amount of water in our tests. We identified which materials…
The Great Fire of London workshop
We had an amazing morning going back in time to 1666 to investigate what happened in Pudding Lane. We used role play and collaborative games to understand the sequence of events, bringing everything to life. It was also our first time on the minibus which was really exciting!
Shape
In Maths we have been investigating shapes. We created shapes and patterns using lollipop sticks and used geoboards to create shapes of different sizes.
Digital Painting
In our Computing sessions we have been having fun using the IPads and a program called Paintz. We have been experimenting with line and colour. We were inspired by the work of Piet Mondrian to create designs using primary colours!
Water workshop
Today we had a visit form Mrs Cole from South Staffs Water. She told us the story of Little Drop and we found out all about the water cycle. Then we talked about ways water can be wasted and the things we can do at home to save water.
Remembrance Day
This Remembrance Day we have talked about why people wear poppies and given thanks to those who have helped keep us safe.
Odd Socks Day
We had great fun dancing to Andy and the Odd Socks but their song had a serious message - everyone has the power to do something about bullying and help others!
Thanks to everyone who wore odd socks to raise awareness about Anti-bullying week.
