In English, Class Three read Chapter Nine of Holes. We discussed why Stanley told a lie in his letter and considered the tone he used. The children then searched for the features of an informal letter within a modelled example. After finding and recording different devices and language features, we began thinking about the letters we will be writing as Stanley, to his mom, from Camp Green Lake.
