Class 2 trip to Rosliston exploring different habitats.

This week we have completed maths activities linked to weight. We have compared objects using heavier and lighter using the balance scales. We have looked at the difference between grams and kilograms.

In English we have been looking at explanation texts. We have worked with partners to research information about London landmarks, such as Big Ben and Buckingham Palace. We have created information leaflets for visitors.

Our art lesson was lots of fun today, creating paper sculptures using different techniques of folding, rolling and twisting paper.

Red Nose Day. Today we made some red nose faces. Using Jammy Dodgers as the face, we added edible eyes and used icing to create a mouth. They tasted great!

In Art this week, Class Three used photography to recreate a famous painting. We studied and recreated the painting, ‘The Scream’ by Edvard Munch using expressionistic colours like the artist!

Children were exploring similarities between Hindu festivals and Christian festivals using a Venn diagram.

In RE this week, Class Three suggested meanings for and showed an awareness of how texts and hymns and used in funerals.
