Using an atlas
In Geography we have been identifying features on maps. We looked at how to use an atlas to help us find information. We looked at maps of the United Kingdom and worked out if statements were true or false. Great teamwork!
Class Two: Growing Artists
In this weeks art lesson, Class Two learnt all about shading. Following the four rules of shading and using the correct pencil grip, the children were able to replicate an example and begin to add their knowledge and skills to their still life drawings.
Art: Map it out
Our art topic this half term is called Map it Out. Class 1 have been working hard with Mrs Wardale. Reception created their own 3d map as a group. Year 2 made their own piece of felt and used part of their map in their designs. A fantastic afternoon of fun and learning!
Class Two: Anti-Bullying Week
Anti-Bullying Week in Class Two! The children participated in activities to explore how being different is special. We explored our superpowers and how they can be used to help others who understand how bullying can make other people feel.
Charity in Islam
In RE this week, Class Three learned about the third pillar of Islam, Zakat. The children considered the importance of charity for Muslims and answered the big question, ‘Is it better to give or receive?’ after reflecting on their own experiences.
Diwali
We have been finding out all about how Diwali is celebrated, and why light is important. We created our own diva lamps to guide Rama and Sita home!
Odd socks day
We all came to school wearing odd socks to raise awareness of Anti-bullying week.

Class Two: Remembrance Day
