Image of WW2 Explorer Day!

Oak Class loved their trip to the National Memorial Arboretum, where they enjoyed participating in a World War Two explorer day! We learned about the life of an evacuee and that of a child who stayed in London during the Blitz. We also explored a ration box and 1940s menu and looked at propaganda posters. The children developed their inference skills when exploring sources and made incredible links from their learning in class. We loved our tour around the memorials and learning about the work of various, talented artists. To finish the day, our children participated in an act of remembrance in the chapel - this was incredibly moving!
